Client Challenge

This one-bedroom apartment in Hammersmith had been rented out for approximately 20 years before being brought to market for sale.

While the property had been well maintained, years as a rental property meant it felt a little tired and lacked the warmth and lifestyle appeal that buyers are often looking for. After several months on the market, interest had slowed and the property was struggling to regain momentum.

The owner approached us to help reposition the apartment and create a stronger connection with potential buyers.

Our Approach

Before designing the staging we considered who the most likely buyer would be.

Given the location and style of the property, we identified young professionals and first-time buyers as the target market. Every design decision was made with this buyer in mind.

We introduced a contemporary, aspirational scheme using neutral tones, green accents, layered textures and carefully selected furnishings that reflected the lifestyle buyers could enjoy in the space.

The layout was designed to maximise the sense of space and flow throughout the apartment, while styling details helped soften the feel of a property that had previously been used purely as a rental investment.

Rather than presenting an empty apartment, we created a home that felt welcoming, modern and move-in ready.

The Result

The response was immediate.

After spending several months on the market with limited interest, the property went under offer within just four days of staging.

By helping buyers visualise how they could live in the space and creating an emotional connection from the moment they walked through the door, the apartment quickly regained momentum and attracted the right buyer.

Key Takeaway

Properties that have been rented for many years can often feel functional rather than aspirational.

Through strategic home staging, we transformed this apartment from a tired former rental into a lifestyle-focused home that appealed directly to its target buyer, helping it secure an offer within days of coming back to market.
